A woman was killed on Sunday afternoon when a gas tank was thrown from a nearby informal scrapyard and hit her in the head. The police in Delft have opened an inquest to find out what happened. The body of the unknown woman was found across the street from where people were cutting up junk metal. The red oxygen tank was just a few meters away.In a strange turn of events, the woman was walking along the road on the other side of the scrapyard.

Police spokesman Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said that Delft police went to a call on Sunday and found the body when they got there around 3:30 p.m.

“She got hit in the head, fell to the ground, and died, but it took a while.” She was in a lot of pain, and her face was badly burned. It looks like the tank had a flame. We know that the people working at the scrapyard were cutting up the oxygen tank when it got loose and flew across the road. She also said that the unofficial scrapyard shut down soon after what happened.

“They weren’t open on Monday.” “We don’t know if it was because of the woman’s death, but we’re glad it’s over because we don’t understand how it was kept open for so long,” Gona said. It’s hard for us to understand why this junkyard was put in a neighborhood. This kind of business should open somewhere away from people.

Charlene Williams, another neighbor, told the newspaper that people in the area think that unofficial scrapyards should be illegal. “The authorities need to step in, especially now that we know it’s unsafe for people.” “That woman wasn’t walking right next to the people; she was about 100 meters away,” Williams said.
